The challenge was to respond to two conflicting objectives:
- To design a platform that was capable of meeting the specific requirements of the e-commerce sector
- To envisage the building as a long-term investment that is generic in structure and can be divided into individual units
METHODOLOGY
Collaboration with Jadéo in order to establish a schedule
Collaboration with Jadéo in order to establish a schedule
- Submission of a list of possible design consultants to Jadéo, following which Jadéo selected an architect, environmental consultant, geotechnical engineer and environmental project management support consultant
- During the design phase and later during the execution phase, "Co Design&Build" committees provided a forum for assessing the list of companies included in the tendering process, their proposals, technical alternatives, budget status, schedule, etc.
The competitiveness of the OpenBox solution enabled Jadéo to achieve significant savings on their investment.
OpenBox's expertise in the logistics real estate sector enabled Jadéo to secure an optimal design.
As part of a phased approach, Jadéo validated the added value generated by OpenBox during each phase.
For this first real estate project, Jadéo retained final say over all decisions made in relation to their project.
