ACTION: logistics platform for Western France
BACKGROUND
As part of its development in France, Dutch group ACTION has trusted in OpenBox for construction of its fourth French logistical platform. Located on the Océane Business Park at Verrières-en-Anjou, close to Angers (49), this new logistical hub will supply all of the group’s stores in Western France, with 14 categories of different products. The platform is easily accessible along the Paris/Nantes motorway, making it a true asset for supply of its stores.

THE PROJECT
OpenBox was able to fulfil the many specifications of ACTION with mezzanines, dock equipment, specific product units, free height, and supplies for photovoltaic roofing, etc.
Our expertise and permanent requirement of high-quality convinced ACTION to confer the project to us. From the outset, it was our collaborative and transparent mindset which also appealed to our client. Our teams additionally proved their ability to work in English with International Technical Management.
OpenBox was able to fulfil the many specifications of ACTION with mezzanines, dock equipment, specific product units, free height, and supplies for photovoltaic roofing, etc.

The warehouse comprises 8 traditional storage units, two hazardous product storage units, and one packaging storage unit.
The platform also houses office space and technical premises. The roofing was designed to host a photovoltaic system.
OpenBox undertook all performance designs and selected the contractors who would perform the works.
Given the scale of the operation and so as to consolidate the OpenBox commitment, the Real-Estate development Contract was signed between BEG Ingénierie, shareholder of OpenBox and ACTION for this project.
The project also received the support of the Angers Loire Métropole economic development agency.

During the design phase, OpenBox implemented its resources during summer 2018, to meet ACTION’s consultation schedule.
OpenBox then adapted the client’s specifications to the French context (regulations and technical solutions).
The Co Design&Build developed by OpenBox was the best method of harmonising our two French and Dutch approaches and understanding our client.
